We’re so happy to be able to welcome campers back for CHSAP camp this summer! Things will look a little different this year, as we strive to be safe and have fun. Camp will be based outside, and we’ll continue to be outside even during light rain (we will move inside during inclement/severe weather.) While outside, we will take frequent breaks to reapply sunscreen and drink water, so everyone stays well hydrated and ready to continue their fun! We’ll have plenty of arts and crafts, sports games, and a few special guests during our two weeks of camp. Please, if your child is sick, or has been in contact with a positive Covid case, do not send them to camp (this includes a fever, sore throat, cough, loss of taste or smell, and shortness of breath.) Campers will be able to return to camp 24 hours after symptoms have disappeared, or a negative Covid test has been received.

We understand that things are changing quickly, and the comfort level you may have had with sending your kid to camp back in May is different now, so if you have any questions or concerns, please reach out right away.

Location: CHSAP is located off the back parking lot at Cayuga Heights Elementary School. Please do not go to 110 E. Upland Road, as that will take you to the front parking lot (and the main entrance, which is closed for construction at the moment.)The back parking lot is accessible from the four way stop off The Parkway and Northway Road. If you put 308 The Parkway into your GPS/Google maps, it will bring you to the house right next to the four way stop entrance.

Pick up/Drop off: Parents/guardians are still not allowed in the school building. Drop off will happen outside from the back parking lot. Please look for a table for check in. We are asking all parents/guardians and campers to wear a mask during check in. Be prepared to answer the daily covid screening questions and have your child’s temperature checked. From here, your child will head down the hill to meet their counselor on the wall ball court. If your camper is nervous, you can escort them down to help them get situated the first day.

For pick up, please call (607)257-0368 and we’ll bring your child up to meet you in the parking lot. In an effort to keep transmission low, parent interaction in our programming areas will be extremely limited.

CHSAP camp runs from 9:00am-5:00pm. PLEASE NOTE-Drop off is anytime between 9:00am-10:00am. If your camper will be arriving after 10:00am, please email to let us know, as our check in table will disappear at 10:00am.

What to Bring: Please make sure to label all your camper’s belongings! Every day, please send your child with:

·         A backpack

·         Change of clothes

·         Swimsuit/towel (we’ll have water play every day)

·         Extra set of shoes/sandals for water play

·         Lunch

·         Water bottle

·         Sunscreen (please apply sunscreen before camp)

·         At least two extra masks

·         A raincoat

Snacks: CHSAP provides an AM snack and a PM snack. Due to Covid, we're unable to cook or serve larger substantial snacks. They will be pre-packaged. We recommend sending extra food with your child(ren) if they get hungry often.

Monday Tie Dye: Both Mondays, we will be doing tie dye. We will provide one shirt per camper per camp (if your child attends both weeks, they will get their shirt during week one.) If possible, please send your camper in clothes that you don’t mind getting stained from the dye.

Tick Checks: Please, please, please check your camper for ticks when you pick them up. With this much outside play, in the grass and in the forest behind CHES, it's strongly recommended to check for ticks. We'll do our best to check them throughout the day as well.
